Mumbai Sanidhya 2024

The Mumbai Chapter of the XIM Alumni Association celebrated the revival of Sanidhya in a grand fashion on 28 September 2024 at The Club, Andheri. Here is a message from Jiji, the President of the Chapter:

On Behalf of XIMB Alumni Association, Mumbai Chapter, I wish to thank all the persons who have been involved in making the revival of our Annual Alumni Meet, Sanidhya a reality, with more than 250 participants on the 28th of September, 2024.

Thanks to the approval and support of the VC Fr.Antony R. Uvari, S.J. , President Debu Mishra, Vice President Chandra Shekhar Chitrala and the entire Executive Committee of the Alumni Association, we set the ball rolling for the event preparation.

The presence of our Esteemed Professors Latha Ravindran, DV Ramana and Punyaslok Dhall, who came from Bhubaneswar, thanks to permission from the VC and funding by the Alumni Association, made the connection to our Alma Mater very emotional. The message from the Professors and the student from the earliest batch in the event, Mr. Biju Dominic (1990 Batch) was indeed a moment to relive the past.

The Event started with a networking among the alumni and professors. Immediately after this, the formal messages were shared on the stage by the esteemed guests, followed by felicitation of our professors by shawls and the launch of a new  XIMB T Shirt .

Batch Photographs preceded the cocktail dinner. The Video DJ  lit the dance floor, with the JLT memories in the campus coming alive.

Networking continued till 1.30 am in the morning, the next day !

This event would not have been possible without the able support of our sponsors Rustomjee, Deoleo, Filaantro, Carlsberg and Red Bull. 

Also, a set of highly charged volunteers from across cities ensured the success of Sanidhya's revival event. They include Aastha Malviya , Aditi Sharma , Akansha Srivastava  , Amrita Mohanti, Anshuman Singh, Biswajit Mahapatra, Ejaz ul Islam, Hardik Anirudh, Harish Ayakar, Jeet Sahoo, Kamlesh Sahu, Prajyot Mishra, Rajiv Sinha, Sanchita Das, Sarvesh Chaturvedi, Subhradeep Mitra, Subhratanu Updhyay, Tahir Manzar and Urvashi Baral, as well as the Student AlCom teams from the BM, HRM and RM streams. And yes, former President of the Chapter, Ved Prakash Ray sent in his wishes and expressed his nostalgia from Canada where he has relocated.

May this revival of Sanidhya after a period of 8 years in Mumbai become a starting point for all other XIMB Alumni Association Chapters to continue the tradition.
